Entering Keywords.

Whenever you type in the words (keywords) that describe what you are looking for the search engine “crawls” the Internet looking for websites that contain the keyword. The search engine uses the browser to search the Internet to find the most relevent information matching the words that you entered.

  • Keywords – Are the words or phrases that you enter into your search engine to get results.
  • Crawl – After you enter the keywords into the search engine it crawls the entire web searching for matching phrases.
  • Algorithm – When you start a search the search engine has a system called an algorithm that distinguishes the best match for your request.
